PLAYING ELSEWHERE SOON?

See story below. I do no think that the series of convictions are sufficiently old that a person could successfully argue that he has "reformed", but rather more of a reflection of CBSA slow proceedings. There may be, however humanitarian and compassionate considerations. This is a common situation: a person comes to Canada as a child, receives permanent residency, has a string of criminal convictions, cannot become a citizen due to the convictions, but then argues that he or she cannot be deported due to the length of time in Canada, constituting a vicious circle of reviews, applications, delays, and no results in either direction. Legislative and regulatory reform are necessary to deal with these cases.
