ARE "REFUGEE BOATS" BACK ?

This is interesting. In the 1990s there were several incidents involving ships, run by human trafficking rings, dumping their human cargo on Canada's shores. Is this the return of the old trend? The migrants are likely to make refugee claims, which will probably grind their way through the system for several years, and are unlikely to result in their deportation, even if their cases are unsuccessful. Canada should be very concerned about how it will handle this case, so as not to send to the world human traffickers the message that these activities are a way to enter Canada successfully and gain residency status. Human trafficking is an extremely serious worldwide problem and should be dealt with forcefully.
